How I Get 200 UV Daily Through Blog Commenting

Hey guys, Paul here just checking in to remind you all to not overlook the value of blog commenting in today's world of online marketing. Typically it's all about SEO, so most webmasters and online marketers tend to focus on the link juice aspects of leaving a blog comment, possibly even leaving their keyword as their name to varying results.

Let's not forget the woes and dangers of over optimization, so why even bother trying to use your exact keywords when linking back to your site as anchor text. It's much more effective to use your website's URL, your name, or just about any other kind of generic text as this looks a great deal more natural which is key these days. If you get a chance to create a very high PR one way link to your site then every now and then you might use your anchor text, but otherwise don't overdo it.

End your comment below that final paragraph with a signature (Your Name/Pen Name - Your Website). This doesn't come across as spammy, particularly if you separate it from the final paragraph. This makes it easy for people to find your site and identify you with it.

Not long ago, I wrote a blog post titled Content Repurposing: Five Experts Share Their Favorite Secrets. In that article, several of my most trusted online marketing colleagues, including Denise Wakeman, Kathleen Gage, Nicole Dean and Marnie Pehrson, weighed in with their most effective and powerful repurposing strategies, along with my own.

This is easiest to do when you have written a blog post that contains a list, such as The Top Ten Ways to Get Traffic to Your Website, 21 Creative Ways to Get Your Toddler to Eat Vegetables or even 5 Quick and Easy Ways to Lose Your Belly Fat. Your niche is irrelevant here, as this tactic will work for any niche.

The best part about doing this is that after you explain and expand on your one point, you can then direct the reader to go over to your blog to get the rest of the content, which is directly related to what they have just read.

Now this does take a bit more work than simply copying and pasting your original blog content to the article directories, but it's well worth it, as it bypasses completely the issue of duplicate content and gives your readers a compelling reason for coming over to your blog to get the rest of your ideas.

I also don't worry about trying to plaster this content all over the web by submitting to hundreds of free article directories. That's an old tactic, and it doesn't work anymore. Instead, I stick with the two major content marketing sites on the web today, EzineArticles.com and IdeaMarketers.com.

And because I'm using multiple ways of repurposing my original content (I discuss over a dozen more in my Content Repurposing article on my blog!), I'm not concerned about showing up on 'only' two article directories.

The 'trick' to this tactic is to write the article from your original blog post, just as soon as your post is completed. If you wait, thinking you'll do it later, chances are it will never get done.

How to Keep Your Audience Interested in What You're Saying

Labor day weekend I was washing my hair and I heard my son talking to the dog. I'm not exactly sure what he was saying to the dog because it wasn't words. The dog didn't even move as he talked to him, because he didn't even think he was talking to him. About 5 minutes later after talking to my son I realized he was trying to create a language that only him and the dog spoke. Interesting!!

This scenario made me think about what my mentor has taught me and what seem to be a problem with many small businesses. When you decided you are going to start profiting from your passion you think about all the things that would be so helpful to your clients. You know what they need in order to be successful. So you create your website, put up your products or services and begin to do what you believe is marketing. You invest in additional tools and products to help you market and you see some sales but not what you thought. What could be the problem? Why haven't your business exploded like you thought it was. The problem is you are not speaking your target audience language.

Do You Speak English?

Have you ever tried to get directions from someone who speaks a totally different language? They have some idea that you are lost and they do their best to tell you how to get to your destination, but you just have no clue what they are saying. So instead of feeling like you have found some direction you are now left even more frustrated and confused. Well that's similar to how people are feeling when it comes to your products and services. They know it's something that may possibly help them in some sort of way, but they don't understand how YOU can help them, and why they should by it from YOU. So they move on to the next person that is offering a similar product or service but that person completely gets them and they totally understand what they are going to gain from working with that person. So I ask you are you speaking the language of your audience?

Define your target audience: This has got to be one of the hardest step but the most important. You must figure out who needs your service and why THEY need it. Not why you feel they need it. To do so do some research. Use Google to search for them in groups and forums. Hang out with them and figure out what the problem is that you can solve for themSpeak to them in their language: Now that you know their problems and the words they are using to describe their problem. Use that information to simplify things for them. I'm sort of a techy person. When people come to me to get their website done they have no clue what words to use. It's totally okay. Instead of me asking do they need an optin form, I can easily ask them "do you want that sign-up thingy on your site so you can collect names and emails?" Each time I say that I hear a resounding yes instead of I have no clue what that means.

These days everyone has a blog, from sports figures to celebrities to the guy down the hall in IT. Everyone is blogging, so that naturally begs the question -- should my business have a blog to be successful?

The answer to that question is fairly simple in my opinion. All businesses can benefit from blogging, but service-related businesses (Realtors, Photographers, etc) and smaller retail stores are going to see the most benefit from blogging. The reason for this is twofold -- one, both of these industries are serving a customer who may not realize precisely what they want or need. Weekly blog posts can help solidify such a need in the customer's mind. Two, many of these types of businesses rely heavily on referrals (word-of-mouth business) and blogging lends itself well to referral business because the customer has the opportunity to learn more about the business immediately upon being referred.Many business owners want to start a blog but they don't know where to begin. Tumblr of course is a great platform, as is WordPress and Blogger. Branding 101: The Expert Authority Benefits of a Personal Blog

Full disclosure; I'm bad at blogging. It's not that I struggle with the technical aspects of optimizing one, or placing opt-in forms in the proper place or even with writing content. I'm good at all of that. It's just that I'm a tinkerer and perfectionist by nature; any of my college professors can tell you that I am fully capable of finding fifty things wrong with a paper that they gave a perfect grade. However, that is quite enough about the trials of being me.

If you intend to gain any type of traction and be taken seriously as an Internet marketer, you need to start and maintain a blog. There's simply no getting around that fact. Blogs, you see, are the perfect venue for building a long-term following and driving traffic to your money sites. They are naturally built to engage in a torrid love affair with search engine bots, and if you take good care of your blog, it will take good care of you.

I cannot stress the following point enough: when trying to build a following, you must remember that people follow people, not products or companies. Everyone that you are promoting too is promoting something, and 97% of them are failing at it, and failing rather spectacularly. They will follow anyone that they believe will lead them where they want to go, and this is where you and your blog come in.

Enter any keyword related to Internet marketing, and somewhere near the top of the rankings, you will find someone's blog. In fact, you are likely to find several of them (go ahead, try it now). So long as you do not abuse this awesome privilege, you now have a steady and targeted flow of potential buyers to market to, and potential signups for your affiliate products (if you sell your own products) and/or network marketing programs.

You do not have to be an expert of everything Internet marketing related, or anything, for that matter. A little research, or a well-done rewrite of an article you have acquired the rights to will set you well on your way. A side benefit is the fact that as you begin to regularly maintain your blog and add content, you actually will start to become an expert. It's pretty interesting because I've heard stories where people are getting sales and sign ups with absolutely zero keyword research and SEO for their blog posts.

And here I thought that that was impossible...

I've come up with my own theories for both sides of the fence because this truly baffled me since everything I've learned about article marketing emphasized onsite and offsite SEO to get the traffic and sales.

My Thoughts on Why Keyword Research and SEO Is Important

Well basically it's these two components that come together that enable you to get your content to the front page of Google. Depending on what keyword you choose, dibs for the top 10 searches for the first page of Google could be a painful uphill battle or a walk in the park.

Also, if you're pretty knowledgeable in keyword research and SEO stuff already, then it's time to have a go at competing with the big boys for the high traffic keywords. If you're able to outrank them and position yourself in the top 10 search results, prepare to be amazed and staggered by the amount of traffic you will get.

And did I mention that sales that follow too?

How to Gets Sales and Sign Ups Without Using Keyword Research and SEO... In My Opinion

I think it all comes down to social syndication to get as many eyes on your content as possible.

Regardless of whether you've done your keyword research and SEO, by just submitting your article to high ranking article directories like EzineArticles, or Articlebase.com, sharing it to targeted Facebook groups, Twitter, YouTube if it's a video, or any other social media site, it's only a matter of time before you will build a steady following of loyal readers.

The advantages of sharing your content on high ranking article directories and widely used social media sites such as Facebook is because there's already a large gathering of people there (and it's free to). You just need to be smart about which category you're uploading your content to.

Another reason why people get sales is that their style of writing is captivating and entertaining enough to instantly pull in the reader and entice them to buy straight away.

So Do We Really Need Keyword Research and SEO?

I'm sure there are divided opinions about this topic because I have heard of some instances where all people do is share their content on social media and they get sales from that alone. As with all things online this doesn't apply to everyone.

What works for one person may not necessarily work for you. Also it might not work all of the time so the results could be very inconsistent.

For others, using SEO to rank in the top 10 searches is easy for some but not so for others. It could be because some people may be overcomplicating things, or that they're too lazy to follow up the SEO optimization strategy with the right amount of backlinking (this includes sharing on social media).

It could be a case of doing steps 1 and 2 and not finishing steps 3 and 4 due to laziness and negligence.

In my opinion, I think keyword research and SEO is so important to the point where long term, consistent results and success is impossible without it. It's a combination of doing SEO, keyword research and sharing on social media sites to maximize your results I think.

In other words, you need SEO and the right targeted keyword to get your content ranked so you can get those free visitors and leads. Social backlinking spreads the word and helps boost your spot on the first page of Google.

Those stories that you hear about people making sales purely through great content is not typical. They either already have an established, steady flow of visitors to their site so that they don't need to do extra work to get those sales, or as cynical as this may sound, it could be pure luck.

If you want outstanding, steady long term results, not just a quick buck fix, then keyword research and SEO is extremely necessary.
